"Photography is about finding out what can happen in the frame. When you put four edges around some facts, you change those facts."
This is a very inspirational quote. The way he describes a photo makes you really think and consider it. I feel like it means if you actually capture something in a moment and set it up to frame you can really see it. By having the chance to actually study a person, object or moment it helps you feel and see things you did not before. At that time you may have felt happy and look back at it and realize it was a sad day because maybe the person you were with was leaving or going off somewhere but the photo at first would never tell that. Photography changes the way you see things. It makes events or people seem more detailed because you have as long as you want to look at them. The facts that get changed are what you see every time. This is the cool thing about photography, every time you look at a photo you see or notice something different. I think this is what Gary Winogrand is trying to explain, that we should really consider how amazing photorgraphy is everytime we view or take our own photo. Next time I do I am going to study it every few days and see what changes so i can realize this too.
